About me

My name is Kevin and I have worked in the healthcare sector for over 27 years as a nursing assistant. A special interest in healing and helping others has led me to holistic therapies and Reiki.

I work in very relaxing environments, at Rose Cottage Clinic, on Lintonville Terrace, and within Wansbeck Chiropractic Clinic, on Milburn Road, both in Ashington or for that extra special treat, within the day spa at Dene House Farm in Longframlington.

My qualifications include Swedish full body massage, Hot stone massage, Thai hot herb compress massage, Indian head massage, Manual lymphatic drainage massage, Bamboo massage, Indonesian massage and Lomi lomi massage. Hopi ear candling (Thermo-Auricular Therapy) and Reiki Master/Teacher.

I offer Reiki training as well as treatments. Reiki workshops are held at regular intervals and can also be taught on a one to one basis if you cannot attend a workshop.

I am fully professional and experienced in the treatments I provide and full draping with the use of towels and batik sheets is provided according to the clients comfort level.

My favourite and most of my clients favourite of these treatments is the hot stone massage as the heat off the stones help soften the muscles, and the wide variety of stones I use get deep into the muscles releasing so much more tension and tightness as well as being extremely relaxing.

I have a slightly firmer natural pressure with my massage that provides a massage that you remember for all the right reasons. I use varying degrees of pressure from light to deep, combined with long, flowing arm strokes to aid deep relaxation and the relief of tension and stress. However, all of my treatments are individually tailored to suit each clients own needs and therefore my pressure will be adjusted to your own preference.

With the holistic therapy industry being predominantly female, I understand that some people may find it uncomfortable coming to a male therapist if they haven’t done so before. However, I treat all my clients professionally and would be happy to meet you and discuss my treatments and any concerns you may have, so that you can get to know me before your treatment.

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and fully insured.

I have a satisfied network of clients situated in and around Ashington, including Blyth, Stakeford, Morpeth, Cramlington, Pegswood & Newbiggin. I have also been working as a voluntary therapist with ‘Healthwise’, which is a women’s self help group based in Cramlington, who are a great bunch of women that are always on the lookout for volunteer therapists.

I have started up a Reiki share meeting on the 1^st Friday of each month at Rose Cottage from 6-9pm for Reiki therapist of all levels to meet and practice group healings and swap experiences and advice.
